The following are indie PC games developed by D. Robert Grixti, under the alias of Dark Gaia, during the period 2007 – 2013. The four completed games, including a full length RPG called Legionwood and a trilogy of horror adventure games, have since become well known in a number of indie gaming communities and have been featured in PC gaming magazines, including PC Gamer, Digitally Downloaded and PC Powerplay.
In production since 2007, Legionwood: Tale of the Two Swords is an epic length traditional role playing game created in RPG Maker VX which was completed in late 2010.
Featuring accessible, familiar gameplay reminscent of the early Final Fantasy titles, Legionwood offers you a 20+ hour long quest set in a massive fantasy world filled with challenging enemies, involving quests and tons of character customisation options.
The One Night Series is the collective title for a set of
three (now four) freeware indie survival horror games developed using the RPG Maker VX engine. The games were released over a three year period and have even been featured in PC Gamer magazine (twice). Each game features a mysterious story to unravel, challenging puzzles and a frightening atmosphere. They can be played independently of each other, but playing them in order is advised to ensure maximum understanding of the story arc. The fourth game is still in development, but a public demo is available which showcases the first area of the game.
There’s also a Mac port of the first game.
The epic long-awaited sequel to Legionwood and my first commercial release, Legionwood 2 features a 15+ hour quest filled with challenging enemies, expressive characters and non-linear quests that change depending on player choices. A new class and sub-class system allows you to customise your characters to a high degree with over 80 different class combinations available. Knowledge of the previous game is not necessary to enjoy the story.
